Eat Natural

In 1996, Praveen and Preet combined nuts, seeds and nuts and mixed them with honey in the form of a bar. The idea would be to keep the whole nuts and fruit in generous pieces. The first bars to be tasted were dates and nuts, and as a result of the success Eat Natural was born.

Eat Natural is careful to select only the best ingredients for making its products.

In 1996 Praveen and Preet had a simple idea. They took nuts, seeds and dried fruit and bake them with honey into the shape of a bar. The idea were to keep the nuts whole and the fruit chunky.

The first bars to have experimented were date & walnut, in Praveen’s kitchen, in Epping. From the success, Eat Natural was created. Texture has always been important to them. They wanted each mouthful to be different, to be special. To make the bars taste as good as they can, Eat Natural have three basic principles: layering, roasting, and small batches.

Layering involves using the same ingredient in various sizes (for example shredded coconut and coconut flakes). Some nuts (such as peanuts and almonds) are then roasted in our Sheffield-made nut roaster before they are used in our bars. And finally, the ingredients are gently tumbled together and made into bars using simple baking trays and rolling pins to keep the texture exactly as wanted.

Eat Natural scale up but they never lose the method by which bars have always been made. They are still fiercely independent and that gives them the freedom to continue to prioritise customers ahead of profit, have fun along the way and create a workplace that everybody are proud of.
It that independence that allows to company to indulge in the sustainability projects that mean a lot to them, and to act in different ways.
