The Abruzzo Pear Tomato is a culinary treasure typical of the Abruzzo region, with its pear shape and sweet, balanced flavor. This tomato passata is made exclusively with tomatoes hand-picked on the Fragassi farm. Processed on the day of harvest following tradition, it has an incredibly sweet and rich flavor, virtually without acidity. No preservatives, no added sugar.
Grown in Città Sant’Angelo, Abruzzo, between the mountains and the sea, these native tomatoes (Abruzzo Pear) are so perfectly sweet and flavorful that they practically need no salt. Verde Abruzzo, which owns the Fragassi brand, uses only the highest quality ingredients in its ready-made sauces and Fragassi Artisanal Passatas. Naturally sweet and full-bodied, Fragassi Passata and ready-made sauces are produced entirely in Abruzzo, using only the finest ingredients.
