Product Description
For the production of La Vera Smoked Sweet PDO Paprika powder from La Chinata, choose the best peppers from the La Vera region, with a careful selection of farmers. The cultivation begins with the planting of the vegetable in flowerbeds in the middle of winter. At the end of May, the plant, already cultivated, is transplanted into the soil to complete its growth. The varieties of pepper used are mainly Jaranda, Jariza and Bola.
Drying follows the century-old method of the Extremadura region of “La Vera”, with the use of oak wood for more than 10 days. This drying gives the product a unique aroma and flavor, which distinguish it from any other sweet smoked pepper in the world.
