Bartons Pickled Sliced Beetroot is another very typical traditional Pickle consisting of a sliced beetroot vegetable, pickled and preserved in vinegar and salt.
Pickled Sliced Beetroot is an accompaniment to a Lancashire Hot Pot which is a hot meat and vegetable stew. It is also a very popular tangy, crunchy, sweet and sour component to a fresh salad or with cheese on a sandwich.
It is great combined with horseradish and yogurt to make a Swedish salad and served with smoked fish or great added to a potato salad to give a great flash of pink colour.
Ingredients:
Beetroot, spirit vinegar, salt.
Storage:
Once opened, store in a dark place at ambient temperature or refrigerate and consume within 6 weeks.
