Seitan and Gherkins Sandwiches

A delicious and easy way to prepare seitan. This vegetable protein is a great alternative to traditional recipes!

  1. Cut the seitan into strips and fry them in a frying pan with olive oil, crushed garlic, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
  2. Turn to brown on both sides and drizzle with the white wine; bring to a boil and remove from the heat.
  3. Cut the gherkins into strips.
  4. Prepare the sandwiches; spread one side of each ball with a little mustard and place on top, the lettuce leaves, the gherkin strips, and the fried seitan.
  5. Cover with the other half and serve immediately.
