Chocolate Orange Tart

This chocolate orange tart is ideal for giving the finishing touch to a celebratory lunch or dinner without too much effort.

Ingredients

To the base
  • 350 g of crackers
  • 120 g of butter
  • orange zest
For the filling
  • 400 g of condensed milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 120 ml of orange juice and 60 ml of lemon juice
  • 20 g of corn starch
  • Orange zest
For decoration
  • 50 g 70% chocolate
  • Ernest Almonds Recipes

Preparation Method

To the base

  1. Turn on the oven to 180º C.
  2. Grind the cookies with a food processor.
  3. Melt the butter and mix with the crushed cookies.
  4. Put the cookie dough in a removable shape and press to flatten it covering the entire base. Cook for 15 minutes and let cool.

For the filling

  1. Mix all the ingredients and place over the already cooked and cooled cake base.
  2. Bake until the filling has set, about 20/25 minutes, or until the filling is set when you move the mold slightly.
  3. Leave in the fridge for a few hours.

For decoration

  1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave by heating it in short intervals, stirring between each one, to prevent the chocolate from burning. You can also melt it in a bain-marie, placing the bowl with the chocolate over the boiling water, but with the fire off and preventing the bottom of the bowl from touching the hot water.
  2. Place it in a piping bag or paper cornet and draw lines on the cake. Garnish with orange zest and Ernest Almond Recipes.
