Fugde Brownies with Whisky

Cartwright & Butler fudge is made the old-fashioned way, with just a few simple but delicious ingredients.

Preparation Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180˚C and grease a square baking tin (23cm x 23cm).
  2. Melt the butter and chocolate and leave to cool for 5 minutes.
  3. Using a food processor or electric mixer, blend the eggs and sugar until white and fluffy.
  4. Mix in the vanilla extract, salt and melted chocolate and butter mixture.
  5. Gradually mix in the flour, sifting as you go.
  6. Add the fudge pieces to the mixture and stir.
  7. Spoon the mixture into the baking dish and bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool completely before unmoulding and cutting into portion-sized pieces.
  9. Melt the white chocolate in a water bath and drizzle over each brownie.
