Sliced apple with sweet and sour sauce and ice cream

Warm sliced apple with sweet and sour sauce and vanilla ice cream. A delicious dessert.

Preparation Method

  1. To make the balsamic vinegar reduction, pour the vinegar into a small pan with the honey, stirring until diluted. Bring to a boil over moderate heat to reduce the volume and thicken. Set aside.
  2. Heat the sugar, and when it starts to brown add the cider vinegar.
  3. Slice the apple into thin slices, place it in the caramel and pile it on top, like a volcano.
  4. On top serve a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a dash of honey and a reduction of balsamic vinegar.
  5. Garnish with a sprig of mint.
